A thought on my reading

If you follow my tweets or are my friend on Facebook you may know that right now I am reading "The Hole In Our Gospel" by Richard Stearns. I have completed seven chapters so far and one of the most prevelant themes so far is "are you willing to be open to God's will for your life"?

Now that probably sounds like I could have just tweeted that, but I think that question is much more important to go to just a select group.

I will say that I am glad that I read what somebody had blogged about this book, and I am glad it was mentioned in a sermon at church by a guest speaker. I am glad that I decided to start reading more and decided that this book was going to make my reading list.

"God wants each of us to surrender our lives to Him completely, to follow Him, to obey His commands, and to show His love to others. But before we can demonstrate that love and offer the gospel to the rest of the world, we have to fill the hole in our gospel." Richard Stearns, The Hole In Our Gospel
